Unless you are completely tuned out from the internet, news or basic interaction with almost anyone else online, it’s impossible to miss the viscous assault against the self sovereignty of what might seem to some as just some far away people that they have no connection to, but is really the most devastating, concentrated and violent attack against personal freedom and safety of any people in decades. Putin’s attack against Ukraine will not only effect Ukrainian’s, which should be more than enough to have compassion and spring to action, but will also have deep and drastic ramifications across Europe and the world for years to come.

Recognising the seriousness of this grave breach in the international security order, maybe it’s not the best time to go on about how excited you are for completely tone deaf JPEGs.

• So, should we all just stop work, stop interacting and stop moving forward with what we have been doing to advance decentralisation, web3, and infrastructure for self sovereignty?

No, of course not. In fact the opposite. But, as we continue to step up how much we build, it is also decent and important to recognise the experience other creators, other buyers, and other simply human beings are having whilst we try to counter and defend against future assaults by militant centralised forces.

Maybe at least hold off a few days before going back to acting like everything is normal, overblown or unrelated to you.
