• What‘s the latest in the lead up to NFT.NYC?
With the start of May finally here, the exciting end of this month and start of the Cypherpunk CC0 Streetwear Popup series is finally within sight. These first major kickoff events of the Spring run from May 31st through June 4th, and set the stage just a few short weeks later for Web3 Fashion Week, NFT.NYC, and ETHNYC all happening during the week of June 19–26th.
Having seen, and producing ourselves, a lot of what’s in store, it’s going to be a creative explosion of NFT content of all kinds, presented and shared between a wide range of people and in ways that promise a can’t miss experience. From secret drops to full immersive projection experiences and the continued ascent of Web3 music and CC0 everything to their rightful place in the NFTs pantheon. There’s so much content to be featured across the designer realms that we don’t know where to begin to tease it.
Venues and collaborators are locked in, and if you’re local, public and secret coordinates will be shared soon!
Most Common Repeat Question
• Where do I find a blueprint or guide for how to move forward more actively with building up Designer Realms?
The first designer realms have already gotten off to a strong start and their corresponding custom marketplaces are already live— for both digital and physical fashion.
These inaugural realms are now set up to build actively on top of the protocol stack, and, over the coming weeks you’ll start seeing and hearing a lot more from these first key realms as they make more fully featured use of the newly updated ecosystem architecture.
They will be seen prominently throughout the Cypherpunk CC0 Streetwear Popup series at the end of May and Web3 Fashion Week in late June.
Built as composable units for any designer with enough audacity and determination to take forward and start revolutionising the fashion industry, DIGITALAX enables these first designer realms to the lead in being, designing, and minting the blueprint of how to do this, often literally, in the form of medium jumping samizdat across printed fabrics, stickers as street art, immersive projection content experiences, 3d digital models, and visual guidebooks for intrepid web3 designers looking to make their own way.
Top Controversies
I think that the top controversy this week is pretty obvious to anyone with a pulse. Good old Yuga is at it again.
In short, driving up Ethereum gas prices to insane levels deliberately is not a good guerilla marketing scheme. It’s pretty callous and shows a complete disregard for actually advancing what they “claim” to be about.
They’ve proven that they are just another VC cash grab. Good luck to the apes, the days are numbered.
Silly Fails and Trolling
The only thing stupid and evil is the parasitic economic system that Buffet and co defend, trying to distract away from their own behaviour. It’s funny how their investment thesis, when you dig into it, really boils down to shilling nonsense advice for others to follow whilst they continue to wrap up and lock down as many of the chips on the table for themselves as possible.
