• How long bear market / wen recession?
Let’s step back and reframe that question.
Which markets and economies are in bear or recession territory? Which aren’t? And most interestingly — why?
What we’ve seen over the past many months might appear on the surface to be a tight squeeze between fast inflating prices and consumer appetite within the frame of how we’ve become accustomed to viewing the globalised economy. But take another look at that second part, are we really seeing a radical pull back in consumer appetite or behaviour?
It seems pretty clear that after two years of lock downs and pandemic related constraints on economic activity, consumers are actually on a vast spending spree that far exceeds the added fuel stimulus funding initially provided. If anything, consumers are showing almost nothing is going to stop their urge to spend, to break out from recent limitations and rapidly increasing demand across the board.
What we really see is a supply and logistics crunch.
Supply can’t meet demand. It is going to take years for that to change. And it really signals a shift of economics that have been consumer/information services based for at least 5 decades to a modern version of being production economies.

The most important part to recognise is that in order to actually increase adoption and real usage of web3 technology beyond crypto speculation is that it must enhance day to day life in obviously tangible ways for everyone that holds a mobile phone in their pocket. There’s really no better way to fight fascism than the combination of free culture and a fist to the face whenever they cross the line from “oh it’s a joQe” to zpreading violence. The hard part is knowing where that line is while they run troll and hide attacks, DDOS the culture wars, and before they capture power.
