An interesting thread by VVD on just how radically misaligned OG web3 players in the space have become this market cycle. The fact that now on Opensea you can’t even name a collection the same as another without being DMCA blocked is insane, even when there is full fair use and prior art well established.
What’s funny about all of us, although not much, is the fact that it’s very convenient that most of these DMCAs and copyright take down notices are targeted at the average user who doesn’t have massive clout and expensive lawyers at their disposal. Yet, if you do have that, Opensea tends to overlook any potential issues.. cough cough **Tom Sachs** …..

It looks a lot like what their satirical namesake Satoshi did, except for that 25%… probably could have figured out something a bit more in the spirit of continuing the growth of the community and simply followed Nouns’ example.
